I’m Alp. And you are… Well, you are here. That could mean one of two things:

1-You are a coffee/café enthusiast. And no, being a coffee-drinker is not the same as having a liking for cafés. One is consumed through your mouth, the other through your mind.

2-You’ve gone down another rabbit hole on the internet and ended up here, with me.

I, a 22-year-old college student, will assume the former is true, and continue.

Eowyn passing on Byron’s words, ‘But words are things, and a small drop of ink / Falling, like dew, upon a thought, produces / That which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think.’

I am not as fond of drinking coffee as I am of visiting places where coffee is served. My passion lies in cafés rather than in coffee, almost like choosing the world over living in it. The passive and fairly-spontaneous chats, sips, and silent-rests that casually live on inside those little shops fascinate me on the simplest yet the most genuine level. It is an ever-present general wondering of what might happen there, really, that keeps me in and around cafés, even though cafés are places that we seek out to avoid the unknowable ‘might happen’s of our busy lives on crowded streets, in tall buildings, and around complicated interactions.

On this blog, I pay visits to cafés that that I find interesting during my travels around the world. I post photos taken by me, and share with you what I have to say about those highly monotonous but equally inspiring places, where thoughts turn into timeless books, and mental images turn into sought-after paintings.

Take Care, and Treat Coffee like a Friend!
